Quick Build Routing
Quick Build uses a simplified table to specify how different Activities are connected. This page provides guidance on how these settings work.
A couple of simple rules:
- One Start Point will be created for the simulation.
- Any Activities without a preceding Activity set will be routed from the Start Point.
- Any Activities without a following Activity will route to an individual End Point.
If you leave the whole Routing table blank, each Activity will route out from the same Start Point and flow into their own End Point.
Example 1:
If the Routing table is left blank, as shown below, each Activity will route out from the same Start Point and flow into their own End Point.
The following simulation will be created:
Example 2:
All work items flow through Activity 1 and Activity 2 before splitting between Activity 3 and Activity 4. We would apply this routing in the following way:

Re-work loops can be created by routing Activities back to a previous one, e.g.:
