Template License Code
When you Publish a template you can set two License Codes. These protect the template at two levels.
- Access to the template for "use".
- Full access to open up, change, view the content etc of the template.
You do not need to protect templates (in this case they can be fully accessed by any copy of SIMUL8).
License Code
The 6 digit code that the template author enters while creating the template. There are two of these for each template. They represent the two levels of protection. These license codes are known only to the author (and to the SIMUL8.com web server if the author chooses to have the server distribute the template).
Key
A different 6 digit code that the SIMUL8 user enters to be able to access the template. Again there are two of these, one for each level of protection.
SIMUL8 users can only get the key from the SIMUL8 web site when they enter their individual unique SIMUL8 license number (the main license number for their SIMUL8 in the form 1234-1234-1234). A key to open a template in one copy of SIMUL8 will not work in the next copy of SIMUL8. The key depends on both the original author license number and the main SIMUL8 license number.
