NovaSim - SIMUL8 Introductory Course Overview
This introductory 2-day course is designed to teach the basics of simulation and SIMUL8 regardless of your application. Like SIMUL8, this class is well suited to a wide range of applications. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention and lots of hands-on experience.
By the end of the course you'll be able to undertake your own simulation projects and identify projects for which simulation is an appropriate tool.
Pre-Course Requirements
TThe only prerequisite for attending this training course is that you must have some general PC knowledge including the use of files and directories, as well as familiarity with basic spreadsheet applications.
It is useful for the delegate to have a basic understanding of the areas they'd like to simulate after the course. This gives the delegate the opportunity to discuss their applications during the course.
Course Outline
The live course agenda includes both lectures and hands-on case studies in which students create sample models.
Day 1:
- Overview of simulation - why simulate?
- Simul8's basic elements
- Properties of a basic model
- Further SIMUL8 constructs
- Distributions and labels
- Tracking costs
- Workshop assignments 1 & 2
Day 2:
- Controlling and monitoring the system
- SIMUL8's spreadsheets and extensive results
- Using Visual Logic to implement unique control rules
- Read data from tables and capture custom results
- Workshop assignment 3 & 4
Day 3 (Optional):
- Learn how to apply SIMUL8 to your specific problem.
- Review the course material and its application to your simulation needs.

Cost
The cost for the 2 day training course is $1495 per delegate. The optional 3rd day is available for an additional $495. Payment is due 7 days prior to the training course date. Group discounts are available.
