Reason for Joining Simul8 Corporation

I studied SIMUL8 software through my university course, and found it a valuable tool where a lot of understanding can be gained from a simple process model, so was keen to become a business consultant who specializes in the use of this software, and help decision makers get the full benefit from the tool in their own business applications.

Training and Development

There are lots of training opportunities in SIMUL8 and you are encouraged to direct your own development as part of the company personal development (appraisal) scheme.  There is also comprehensive initial training on the software's specific features early on, allowing you to make the most of the tool in projects. I have also had the chance to spend time working with other departments to enhance my skills at all levels.

Typical Day

One of the best things about being a consultant in SIMUL8 is there is a lot of variety, so a 'typical' day is hard to describe. When I’m working on a large project, the majority of my day would normally be spent on developing a SIMUL8 solution or meeting with clients. Alternatively, I could be delivering SIMUL8 training and mentoring courses, or responding to queries from customers.

I have worked on a wide range of projects ranging in length from one day to one year, both on-site and remotely, and have had the opportunity to travel many times nationally and to the USA, with clients from the NHS, Defense, Pharmaceuticals, NHS, Transport and Oil and Gas industries.
